Accessibility
Accessibility statement.
Every pet professional, brand, and pet parent should be able to use this site, whatever tools they browse with.
Our standard
ShopDot Pet aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced in Americans with Disabilities Act guidance. We review the site against it and fix what we find.
Where the site stands
shopdotpet.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. Most of the site meets the standard; the exceptions are listed below.
A full review in October 2026 covered every page of this site. Today:
- Keyboard. Every link, button, menu, and tab can be reached and operated with a keyboard, with a visible focus ring. A skip link at the top of each page jumps past the navigation.
- Screen readers. Pages carry landmarks, a single heading outline, labelled controls, and text alternatives for images. Decorative icons and illustrations are hidden from assistive technology.
- Contrast. Text and buttons meet the 4.5:1 minimum, including on the hero video.
- Motion. The home-page video and the brand logo strips have a Pause button, and they start paused when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Forms. Fields are labelled, support autofill, and report errors in the browser's own words.
Known limitations
- Contact form. The form on our contact page is provided by a third party inside a frame. The frame does not declare its language or a page title. We are raising this with the provider; in the meantime you can email us directly at support@shopdotapp.com.
- Screen-reader testing. The site has been tested with automated tools and by keyboard. Full runs with NVDA and VoiceOver are the next step; please tell us about anything they would have caught.
- Storefronts. Professional storefronts and the account area live on a separate application at pet.shopdotapp.com and are outside the scope of this statement.
Tell us about a barrier
