What is the ShopDot Product Drop?
It's a sampling program that connects pet brands with the pros who influence what pet owners actually buy. Brands supply products they want in front of working professionals. We match those products with pet pros on ShopDot, the brand ships the samples directly to you, and you share honest feedback on how they performed.
The economics work on both sides. Americans spent more than $158 billion on their pets in 2025 (American Pet Products Association), and a large share of that spending starts with a professional's recommendation. Brands would rather earn that recommendation from someone who has used the product than buy an ad. You'd rather recommend something you've tried.

How does the Product Drop work?
Four steps, in order:
- Sign up. Fill out the short form to tell us what kind of pet pro you are and what products you'd find useful.
- Get matched and receive your samples. If you're selected for the drop, the brand ships the products directly to you.
- Try them and give feedback. Use the products in your work, then complete a five-minute survey on how they did.
- Add your favorites to your storefront. The ones you'd stand behind go on your ShopDot store, where clients can buy them and you earn a commission.
What do we ask in return?
One thing: complete the feedback survey. It takes about five minutes and covers how the product performed, who you'd recommend it to, and what you'd change. Honest criticism is more useful to us and to the brand than praise — a product that doesn't work for your clients is worth knowing about.
What we don't ask for: a purchase, a posting requirement, or a promise to sell. If a sample isn't right for your clients, say so and leave it off your store.

Active pet professionals on ShopDot — groomers, trainers, dog walkers, pet sitters, daycare and boarding operators, and pet retailers. If you're not on ShopDot yet, creating a free storefront takes a few minutes and makes you eligible for upcoming drops.

Does the ShopDot Product Drop cost anything?
No. The samples are free and shipped to you at no cost. There's no fee to apply and no purchase required — brands provide the products so pet pros can try them and give feedback.
Do I have to sell the products I receive?
No. You're never obligated to stock or recommend anything. Add the products you genuinely like to your ShopDot storefront and leave the rest — the point of trying a product first is to be able to say no to it.
